Update..

So yesterday and today werent near as easy as Wednesday was. Yesterday wasnt bad at all besides the fact I was a little sore. Today, is another story. I have been a little sore but mostly nautious!!! Its been aweful! I threw up once this morning and felt a million times better afterwards. The percacet has made me super tired all the time so I slept alot today. I wanted to go get ice cream tonight but there is just no way I'm getting out.

A lady from Faith Baptist Church called me today. She is the preschool director. She called me about working in mothers day out on wednesdays. I go Sunday to pick up an application and then we will schedule an interview. Im kind of excited about it! It will get me out of the house and give me something to do!! Well I think thats all I have to talk about today! Sorry the blog is so short today! Have a great day!

Wisdom Teeth!

So this morning at 7am, I got my wisdom teeth outh. As I got to the dentist office, I made Bryce go back with the to the operating room until they kicked him out. I told the nurse how I am NOT a fan of needles and tend to pass out when I get shots. So she put me on oxygen early! :) I was a little nervous...not for the surgery, but for the IV. The doctor put the IV in and it HURT!!!!! Then, She started squeezing it!!! That was definitely the WORST part!! After that, they inserted water into the IV and it made me extremely cold and I was shaking almost uncontrolably. She said that they couldnt start the surgery until I calmed down. After about 15 minutes, the doctor can in with another doctor and wrapped me up in a blanket and after about 5 minutes, I was fine!! Then they added some of the medicine into the IV to knock me out. They told me I wouldnt go totally under. They said I would be able to hear the nurses and know what was going on. Well, they were WRONG! The last thing I remember is when the doctor said, ok you are going to feel a little bit of pressure, and sure enough I felt her tugging on my tooth. After that, I was totally out! I fell asleep for sure!! Then I remember waking up and still wasnt "all there". They put me in a wheel chair and Bryce took me out to the car. I feel bad for not telling the doctor and the nurse "thank you" and I wanted to ask them how the surgery went. They did let me see the spot that they removed. It was bloody and had a really weird shape!! It was a pretty good size too!! They are going to send it off to get a biopsy and I will know in 2 weeks what the result is.

When I got home, I went straight to bed. Bless my sweet husband. He took such good care of me!! It made me love him so much more!! Suprisingly, I wasnt in ANY pain! I went to sleep for about 3 hours and then Bryce had to go back to work! :( I continued to sleep another couple of hours! When I woke up to tell Bryce buy, I had a HUGE pain in my upper left side of my mouth. When I had fallen asleep, I bit down and the gauz had stuck to the gum where they took a wisdom tooth out. It hurt so bad so I took some Ibuprofen and the pain went away. The doctors also gave me Percocet to take for pain. I havent had any pain so far and its almost 5pm here. Im contemplating on going ahead and taking it just incase the pain kicks in and its bad pain.

Bored

Sorry I havent blogged in awhile!! Nothing new has really happened. My dentist appointment to get my wisdom teeth out has changed to this Wednesday at 7am. Bryce is working this weekend so its been pretty quiet around the house. Ive recently been hooked on a book by Karen Kingsbury called "Even Now". Its so hard for me to even put the book down!! Its so good!! I havent really been cooking much. Havent really been in the mood. Tonight, we are going to the Mimms house for a big get together before Kristie goes home to Tennessee for a baby shower. I am so excited for her that she gets to go home and see all of her family and friends. I wish I could do that!

Ive been so addicted to viewing peoples blogs lately!! There are a few that I check daily!! Its so interesting and fun to be able to keep up with peoples lives!

Bryces big test is coming up here in the next week or so. Im sure the exact date he takes it but I know its towards the end of August. Please keep him in your prayers. This is a huge test for him!! Hope all is well with you and your family!!

Dentist. Yuck.

So a couple of days ago, I went to the dentist so they could give me a briefing on how the surgery is going to go down. I got so sick when they were giving me all the details. The doctor, who is awesome, showed me the xrays of my teeth and showed me the black spot. They are going to go ahead and take all of my wisdom teeth out as well. I am so scared!!!! As of right now, I am scheduled to get them out this Thursday. Both of the doctors schedules are booked for the next 2 months so they had to reschedule some of their other patients so they could get me in asap. I asked what the black spot could be and they told me it could be cancerous. So please please pray it isnt cancerous!!!

Last night, we had some friends come over for a cookout. It was alot of fun! Today, Bryce and I went to play golf..ok so he played golf and I drove the cart! :) It was so nice to be outside! It actually got kind of cold and so I had to take a sweatshirt! Texas- be jealous! (eventhough I am jealous of yall). There was another guy there golfing with Bryce and turns out, he is from Commerce, TX! How crazy is that!! Now we are back at home and about to watch Sound of Music. Bryce has never seen the movie and so ever since we have been in Germany, I have been trying to find it. Its not on Hulu and its not at the rental store. We went into MOMS today and I found it!!! I cant wait to watch it...Bryce on the other hand isnt so excited. But the movie is a classic and everyone should see it!!! I also made some very good lemon cookies yesterday that you HAVE to try!!!!! These are Bryces favorite!!

Lemon Cookies
1 box of Lemon Cake mix
16 oz. cool whip
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla

Mix together, sprinkle powdered sugar on top and bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees.

Tooth pulled, Haircut and Snickerdoodles!!

Bryce got a tooth pulled this morning. I felt so bad for him!! It was so funny when he described it to me though. He said that when they pulled his tooth, it had a huge whole in it! So they just pulled out the rim pretty much! No wonder he always got chunks of food stuck up in that thing!! He came home and slept for a bit then I went to get my haircut...

So today I got my hair all chopped off. Not sure how many inches. At least 4! And a couple of weeks ago, I got about 4 or 5 inches taken off so I have probably lost about 9 inces of my hair! It feels so great!! It will be much easier to fix and clean! I used to have to fill my whole hand up with shampoo and now I dont have to use near that much!!





Tonight, I made Snickerdoodles. Wow they were so amazing I just have to share the recipe with you so you can try it at home...

Snickerdoodles
1 package (18-ounces) refrigerated sugar cookie dough, room temperature
2 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup Domino Confectioners Sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract or other flavoring (I used vanilla)
1/2 cup Domino Granulated Sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut cookie dough into 8 pieces. In bowl of electric mixer, combine cookie dough pieces and cream cheese. Mix in confectioners sugar and vanilla extract until dough is smooth.
Scoop dough by the tablespoon and roll into about 36 balls.
In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar and cinnamon. Roll balls in cinnamon-sugar mixture and place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. Cool on cooling rack.

The dough was too doughy for me to roll into balls so I just scooped it with a spoon and placed it on the cookie sheet and then sprinkled the cinnamon-sugar on top. They are super delicious! You will thank me!!
